BATIK INDERAWASIH
What was once a personal escape through drawing became a lifelong devotion for Puan Zarina Binti Salleh (55), founder of Batik Inderawasih in Kampung Ngulang, Berseri. In 1993, armed only with skill, patience, and belief, she stepped into the world of batik—transforming fabric into stories, and tradition into livelihood.
Her foundation in visual art, shaped during her years as a student, lives on in every line and motif she creates. Each pattern is deliberate. Each stroke carries memory, discipline, and quiet confidence, proof that heritage can be both expressive and enduring. The studio breathes with shared knowledge, preserved through trust. From academia to workshop, their collective hands keep the legacy alive.
Batik Inderawasih opens its doors not only as a place of making, but of experience. Visitors arrive to observe, to learn, to immerse themselves in the rhythm of wax and dye—where time slows, and craft takes center stage.
